Twisted Skeleton

Walla Walla, Washington

Solitary trees are one of my favorite subjects.  Perhaps it's the sense of a solitary tree being a lone survivor that appeals to me.  When a freezing fog rolled into town, I immediately went to the local golf course where such trees can easily be found.  The dark, twisted, and curving limbs were aesthetically appealing, and the other trees made more obscure by the background fog seemed to help emphasize the solitary nature of this particular tree.
