See my song
Theler Wetlands, Belfair, Washington
A male red-winged blackbird is singing on a cold, early spring morning. As it sings, its warm breath hits the cold air and condenses. This reminds me of the winters in eastern Montana when my breath would hang in the air for several seconds; how long it would hang was my way to gauge how cold it was.
