Abandoned Farmhouse, Dark Skies B&W
Highway 24, Washington State
The dark clouds out my windshield looked great for a photograph as I was driving east through Yakima, WA, after a visit to Puget Sound. I remembered this abandoned farmhouse east of Yakima on Highway 24, and I drove there for the foreground. I thought the setting and the overall mood were perfect, and I think the black-and-white version best brings out this mood. Photo © copyright by Stephen Penland.
