Trees and Other Plants

Trees are quiet creatures.  Stand in a forest at night during a snowfall and you will know the meaning of "quiet."  Trees can be beautiful as single objects in an open landscape or as a thick carpet that covers miles of undulating hills and mountains.  Trees and understory plants, because they cannot move, have to adapt where they stand to survive the seasons, and this is a source of great beauty throughout the year.
